INTRODUCTION TO CALORIE RESTRICTION

Calorie Restriction is about lowering energy intake but keeping nutrients above the recommended daily allowance. You can't do this on a typical diet which mostly consists of processed foods. Calorie Restriction was first documented in the 1930's when mice had their calories restricted and lived much longer than usual. The mechanisms by which CR extends lifespan are still being researched. Short term CR studies on humans are being done and very encouraging results are showing up. Humans respond to CR very much like how rodents and monkeys respond to CR.

This website is about my practise of calorie restriction and how it has effected the quality of my life so far. I will update it frequently with my latest lab results, pictures and list good CR resources.
